Situated in the heart of England amongst the rolling countryside of the Peak District, The Peacock at Rowsley is a small luxury hotel offering the perfect base from which to explore the beautifully unspoilt scenery of Derbyshire and the nearby villages and towns.

The modern and stylish décor is perfectly complemented by antique furniture, creating a contemporary yet comfortable ambience within the walls of this ancient building. Guests are sure to enjoy a good night’s sleep in one of The Peacock’s sixteen luxurious bedrooms, most of which feature king size or super-king size beds, including one four-poster and another with an antique bed originally from Belvoir Castle. Each room is furnished to a high standard with en-suite facilities, telephone, TV, DVD player, i-pod docking stations on request, tea and coffee making facilities.

In 2009 the hotel was award 3 red stars by the AA. The Peacock is also the ideal retreat to relax and take time out, with the award winning Restaurant, and the small and intimate private dining room offering peaceful surroundings and a mouth watering menu created by the Head Chef, Daniel Smith. Fine dining, using locally sourced ingredients is complemented by a wide range of wines or hand-pulled barrel ales.
