John Hoskins, Master of Wine and proprietor of The Old Bridge Hotel in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire celebrated the start of 2009 with the opening of a brand new on-site Wine Shop. In October 2009, he’s celebrating winning the AA Wine Award (England) at the AA Hospitality Awards - for the second time! John has personally crafted the award winning selection of fine wines, which has previously been judged by Egon Ronay and Harpers' Wine Trade Journal as being the UK's best wine list.

John comments: “I feel doubly honoured to win this award again.  While we don’t have the biggest list of wines in the UK, we do have a selection of quality and good value wines, which I think has struck a chord in a year like 2009.”

At the Hotel’s Wine Shop, visitors can sample a fantastic selection of wines, with 24 bottles open to taste on the extraordinary "Enomatic" tasting machines. These innovative machines enable you to sample a whole range of wines for a small charge - so you can make your decision about which wine to buy based not on recommendation or the label, but on whether you really like it.
