The Great Inns of Britain was first established eleven years ago by Paul Whittome, owner of The Hoste Arms at Burnham Market in Norfolk, and Sir Thomas Ingilby, owner of The Boar’s Head in Ripley, North Yorkshire.

New members are generally recruited through the recommendation of an existing member, however, if you are an Inn Keeper and you feel that your Inn would be suitable for inclusion in the Great Inns of Britain, please do contact Sir Thomas Ingilby at the address on the bottom of this page. Potential new memberships are considered in February and June each year.
