Wine Shop – Wine Tastings
John recently launched his onsite Wine Shop which is open every day, between 9am–10pm. There’s a fantastic selection of 24 bottles to taste using the extraordinary “Enomatic” tasting machine and someone is always on hand to explain how it works, give you a tasting sheet and answer any queries.
Wines to suit all tastes and budgets are available, ranging from £4.95 to £375 per bottle. Taste any 8 wines for £7.50 per person, any 10 wines for £8.50 per person, or 10 wines with mixed canapés for £16.50 per person (please pre-book a day or more in advance). For up to 8 people, there’s no need to book, just come in. For groups of 8+ people, please book ahead.

Monday Night Wine Course
These tasting evenings are designed to introduce you to grape varieties or regions – the simplest way to build up your knowledge. The format is informal, suitable for anyone with an interest in wine who simply wants to get a bit more understanding of the subject. All tutored by John Hoskins MW. These courses are popular so please book ahead. Cost is £38.00 per person.

Bowland Forest Vintners
Onsite wine merchants - Bowland Forest Vintners is located in the Reception of the Inn. Guests either sample wines by the glass before deciding which to buy, or enjoy tutored wine tastings (please book in advance).
This fully independent wine merchant gives you the opportunity to taste and purchase wines from any winemaker in the world. With a bias towards smaller producers, wines are quality driven and invariably from single vineyards.
