Overlooking the River Ouse on the edge of Huntington, The Old Bridge Inn is a handsome 18th century building which enjoys an idyllic riverside location and is known for its relaxing and friendly atmosphere. Decorated to enhance the original character of the property, the hotel has an elegant private dining room and main lounge complemented by an informal Terrace restaurant and welcoming bar, popular with both locals and visitor. All of the Hotel’s twenty-four individually styled rooms all with comfortable beds, bath with power shower; Bang and Olufsen or Loewe televisions with DVD players and Molton Brown toiletries. A fully equipped business centre provides excellent meeting spaces for up to 50 delegates with full AV facilities.
Owner, John Hoskins, who is a Master of Wine, bought the Old Bridge in 1994 and in the same year he was awarded the Bollinger Medal for the best tasting result. Well known for its extensive wine list, the Hotel was the winner of the AA Wine Award for the second time in 2010.
The Old Bridge Wine Shop, located next-door to the inn, retails a fantastic range of wines from every day drinking to many rare and mature vintages, with something to suit everyone’s taste and budget. The shop also hosts a range of events throughout the year, from informal wine tastings to build up your knowledge to themed events focusing on the wines of a country or region.
And now, the newly-launched Wine Club aims to make buying and enjoying wine even easier. John Hoskins will choose a selection of wines for you, with your preferred preference in mind, and a case will be delivered to your door monthly or bi-monthly.
